I'm finally updating, I know.

But really, I don't even think I can keep track of my life nowadays. Life just seems so much more hectic now that school's back.

I'm not unhappy about it; but I simply can't stand all the homework, not to mention having to panic and mug for every little test and assessment you hear about.

Well I'm so looking forward to the soccer matches against SJI and HCI later this term but I'm beginning to have negative thoughts that I'll never get there. That these days are still far away. And before then, it's going to be the same daily routine. Where school sucks.

And if you've actually realised, the above has been typed out with me squinting at the screen trying to see if I "capitalize" properly. shit who cares. this is so dumb.

but of course there are always the nicer side of school life. like teachers who never fail to make us laugh with their awkward english -- how they conjugate their verbs and every single way they can make an official address sound absolutely hilarious. and teachers who love to treat you like the toddlers in nursery? they explain things as if you were a four-year-old. wow. i love them nonetheless.

anyway.

caught gareth with 3 other girls at bishan today. it's like me and cake just had lunch and we were walking back to school when we caught sight of gareth. i thought gareth gave me a weird look (did you?). stopped to talk and i was rather surprised to see 3 girls stop walking behing gareth. uhh well i didn't know they were sort-of together at first so i was pretty stunned. well seems that cake was a bit slower because he didn't realise the 3 girls were with gareth until i told him after we parted company with gar. well.. i can only say.. i believe charlyn and paul now. seeing is believing man.

i'm still stressed out at the moment,

i think i'm turning nocturnal.

and i think the last week did it.

what a time man. just before school reopens.

well it really wasn't my fault.

i don't think i can sleep tonight.

especially when i'm pissed off by some.

somebody save me.

tri-nations 2007
south africa 21-26 new zealand

wasn't that superb a match, really. new zealand got themselves in all kinds of trouble dropping the ball and missing kicks at goal. but they still won. hahaha.

but must sympathize with south africa really. they were leading for 70plus minutes and they kinda lost it in the last 10. there was a young guy who came on as a substitute and screwed up big-time. well heard he was the SA hero when they beat australia a week back. tonight he looked terrible.

and there were brawls all over the place so, wasted lots of time watching them pushing, shoving each other. pulling each other's collar.

NO PICTURES because there are none on the web. there's the amount of coverage rugby gets, huh?

**********

soccer friendly at ACS(I) was almost called off yesterday because there was no field. -_- we made do with a passable field in the end; passable with the exception of the cricket strip in the middle, the potholes on either flank, and the uneven ground scattered over the field.

we won 6-2. sounds pretty impressive.

and post-game we went to shower at the swimming pool toilet and this was what we saw:

sorry la couldn't get a clearer picture. we didn't have a wide-lens camera. but anyway, the board indicates "No food and drinks"and "No smoking". well, on the right of the picture the people were barbecuing. wow. surely that's food. and there's smoke, too.

but the ACS(I) compound looked good compared to ours...as in, they make it look very AC. one look and you know what school you're in. especially the blue-and-yellow stadium steps. in contrast our school is looking less RI over the years.. after the construction everything just seems different. the canteen area (tgt with the prev gryphons' lair area) has just lost so much feeling to it; well feeling is hardly the right word to use but yeah you get what i mean. the hall has brown curtains now.

well back to the happenings.

so after that 6 of us decided to go the holland v for dinner. and someone led the way to the katong laksa place where we saw paul and his family. we took an adjacent table and sat there for >1 hour, i think. talking cock and gossiping 0.o. we finally gave our seats up to some eagerly-waiting customers.

and then jerome suggested walking to the bus-stop so we went down this stretch of restaurants and pubs and the nightlife is absolutely amazing. every restaurant/pub was full and people littered the sidewalks. lots of caucasians but still cool anyway.

at the end of the road jerome suddenly had an idea: to go play board games at settlers. i was like "wth" but they said there would be cool games that i'd never seen before so we went. turned out it was full and we had to wait 40 min. so we just loitered outside talking about the happenings since we knew each other 3-and-a-half years ago hahaha. and some lady walked out to ask us if we wanted them to set up a table outside -.-. *rolls eyes* we're better off talking cock by ourselves.

jerome then "saw" a street-soccer court in the distance and as we approached we realised it was taken up by taekwondo lessons. so we stayed at the kids' playground. decided to play truth-or-dare but no one could get the game going. and someone mentioned we should form a gang haha. yeah how about a gang that does CIP for fun? that'll interest the reporters.

no one wanted to go home but we finally decided that after another rd of katong laksa we shall be on our way. so we walked back to the stall. i then realised we had gone a full round. like full circle and back to the same point, literally.

we saw this:
A man barbecuing outside"vet clinic". the first thing that came to mind was: "my gosh. don't tell me he's cooking the animals that fails to get out of it alive!? yucks" HAHAHAHA. so we decided to get a photo anyhow. YOU SHOULDN'T SET UP THIS KIND OF STALL OUTSIDE "VET CLINIC" YOU KNOW. SUGGESTIVE.
and that was the last action of the day.

100th post!

hahaha after such a long time 'cause i just get too lazy to blog sometimes after my enthusiasm blows over.

truth be told, this was started because of an english assignment, and that should be...some 15 months back now.

and 100 posts in 15 months. not very impressive at all. that's 6.6666666666666667 posts a month.
_____________________________________________________

okay anyway. what's up tomorrow... soccer friendly at acs(i). supposedly their school team lost to acs junior (wth lose to primary school!) and they lost 0-11 to naval base and 0-10 to st gab's in their inter-sch campaign.

but then i guess we're in no position to underestimate them. well we don't even play very regularly. but been training (i.e fooling around with a football) for couple of weeks so hope we don't do badly tomorrow.

I guess having a blog means this: what you think of me won't affect who I am, what I do, and what I feel. and I'm not afraid to tell you what i feel and think. i don't like to lie.

YES I LOVE STARHUB!

they sorta regrouped the channels on cable tv and now there's this group: complimentary international channels lol. there's like tv5 monde (french and less than half of its programmes are subtitled; but i still can understand *beams*), and deutsch welle (german and i know nuts about that language), kbs world (eeyer korean), and INDONESIA CHANNEL OMG. maybe my maid will watch it.

AND THERE'S AUSTRALIAN NETWORK!

haha about a couple of years ago starhub decided to move the bulk of the rugby stuff from the sports channels to aussie network (ch96). and they couldn't have given me ch96 at a better time --- it's tri-nations! shit la i didn't know a week back so i missed the first tri-nation match between south africa and australia.

but nevermind! all blacks are playing this sat night at 9pm SO I BOOK THE TV. hahaha. south africa vs new zealand yay. all that thought about watching rokocoko, mccaw and dan carter is getting me so high! i wouldn't bother counting the number of exclamation marks in this post.

rokocoko. (McCaw's in the background, too!)

ah and today i watched a rather informative programme on ESPN. some national spelling bee competition in america. don't ask me why it's on ESPN when it's not a sport. it's super cool please like the 57 finalists take turns to step up to the mic and the panel of judges just pronounce a random word (I DUNNO 90% OF THE WORDS THAT CAME OUT).

the contestants can ask 5 questions i think: definition of the word, language of origin, part of language (eg. noun), use of word in a sentence and alternative pronunciations i think. then in 2 minutes they have to spell the random word. you just get eliminated if you spell it wrongly.

i'm just in awe of the contestants because they're like mostly 12-year-olds? the oldest is maybe 14 and the youngest probably 11. they actually know how to spell words that i don't even know existed! i'm ashamed of myself as a 16-year-old. and wth some of them are imba muggers. you know the words that start with 'pt'? The 'p' ain't pronounced so i wouldn't even know it is there if i was a contestant. THEY MUGGED IT CRAP.

woah fine charlyn you dao. only reply when you're bored and nothing to do right! hmph. 7 hours and counting.

and why in the world did a random maverick tag on my blog! totally random.

NOW I'M PISSED.

blogger just screwed up on me please! so much for its auto-save feature my entire post is gone!

and what got me so psyched in the first place is that I can't seem to find an issue of newsweek! a very meaningful one, to me. darn la and it's caused by people who anyhow touch my things. thing is, I don't know who it is. but shit la who ask you anyhow touch my things >.<

and the internet connection seems slow too. don't know if it's just me or is the connection really slower.

and all the undone homework is contributing too! should've thought carefully before going kboxing yesterday. the entire stack of homework has been lying there since...ages. but it isn't that bad yet because i have a wee bit more time; or at least that I think I have. but tamade anyway.

friendster's screwing up too. (or have I said that already!)
